Hello, my name is Holly McGuffin. I am 24 years old and from the state of Michigan in the United States. I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I was 20 years old when I was first diagnosed with alopecia areata by my family physician. He suggested I go to see a dermatologist about it. I visited a dermatologist. He told me there was no permanent cure and I could try steroid injections but there were no guarantees that it would work. I went home with so many negative thoughts, however I tried to get more information through the internet. I read so many patients opinion who had used steroids for a long period but they were not satisfied. I didn't feel safe with the steroid injections and I decided not to start steroids as a treatment.

Here I was a 20 year old young woman and my hair was falling out so quickly and I had no idea why. When my doctor told me I had alopecia I had never even heard that word before. I didn't know anything about the disease nor did I know anyone else who had ever had it. I felt very isolated going through the frightening experience with no one to relate to about my condition. After a few months went by I was still losing my hair and had no treatment at all. Finally one day I was on my computer and I decided to Google alopecia cures.

When I started using it, I had a few questions being unfamiliar with the treatment and Dr Rohit was happy to answer any of my questions when I emailed him.

After about 3-4 months of using it, my hair had stopped falling out completely and my hair had started to grow. around a year of using the treatment my hair had grown back almost completely, and I stopped using the treatment after about 14 months and my hair has been thick and healthy ever since!

I was incredibly grateful for my hair growing back from Dr. Rohit shah's herbal therapy; I expressed how happy I was that I could find something that treated my condition successfully with out any harmful drugs or injections needed. I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to meet with Dr Rohit and his wife Ragini. They are such nice and giving people that just want to help as many patients as they can! We were able to meet in Houston, Texas at the National Alopecia Areata foundations' annual conference for families with alopecia. I had such a great time talking with everyone and sharing my success story and spending time with Dr. Rohit and Ragini while they talked to patients and gave them hope again.
So far it's been an amazing journey but not enough. I had decided to help those who are suffering from the same condition like me. Dr Rohit inspired me to study more and to be a registered trichologist. I finished my study of TRICHOLOGY in September 2010 and I am now a certified and qualified Trichologist of USA and I am in plan to start a full time support centre with Dr. Rohit.
To give my services as a Trichologist, I am going to visit India from 7th November to 21st november. I very much look forward to meet as many patients as possible!
