Ultimate haircare tips…

 •

As per Ayurveda ,  scalp massage with warm oil two or three times a week will help stimulate and moisturize the scalp. You can use good quality coconut, almond or amla hair oil. Apply some mildly warmed oil to your hair and gently massage into your scalp evenly with your fingertips. Leave it overnight if you can, if not, leave it for at least an hour or two, then wash it with suitable sampoo.

 •

Never attack wet hair with a brush, no matter how rushed for time you are. Tangles in wet hair are best removed with a wide-toothed comb. Use a wooden or metal teeth comb if you can find one; it won't generate static electricity. Excessive blow-drying can damage hair in the long-term, making it brittle and causing split ends. If you can, let your hair dry naturally, then brush into place.

 •

Like everything else about true healthy hair begins within your body. Start with your diet. Include lots of green leafy vegetables and sweet juicy fruits. Dairy products such as milk and fresh yogurt will also help. Fresh coconut is also considered excellent "hair food" - sprinkle grated coconut over salads, diced fresh fruit, or rice.

 •

Ayurveda considers foods with artificial   preservatives and chemical additives stripped of their inherent "intelligence" and therefore not helpful in supplying nutrition to your   body and mind. Ice-cold beverages also hamper the process of digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

 •

Cooking with certain spices adds flavor to your food and provides nourishment for your hair. Cumin, turmeric and black pepper are some "hair-friendly" spices.

 •

Ayurvedic herbs that help hair health include Eclipta alba and Gotu Kola. Eclipta alba is called "Bhringaraj" - literally, king of tresses. It nourishes the hair and helps resistance to stress as well. Brahmi, sometimes called Gotu Kola, also helps balance the mind and nourishes the hair and scalp.  Ayurveda considers the health, color and luster of hair so dependent on overall mind/body health.

 •

Stay away from harsh chemical topical products that can damage hair . Look for gentle, natural cleansers and conditioners, especially if you wash your hair more than three times a week. Shampoos and conditioners that contain nourishing botanicals are even better. Read labels carefully - sometimes, products that say "herbal" or "natural" can include chemicals.

 •

Stress can be seriously injurious to long-term health and color of hair. Try and manage your time and tasks to minimize time-related pressures. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation.  Get adequate, good quality sleep to help the natural process of rejuvenation.

 •

Wash your hairs with appropriate shampoo atleast twice in a week, don’t change the brand of shampoo so frequently, stick to one brand that suits you.

 •

When washing hair don’t scrub heavily. This flakes hair cuticle[the outer later of hair]

 •

If you have dry hair try to avoid daily hair washing if possible. Try every other day..

 •

Use a mild shampoo. Look at the shampoo ingredients. Avoid anything that contains harsh detergents.

 •

Don’t apply shampoo directly on your hair, dilute it or make foam in your hands than use it. This can minimize the negative effects of  shampoo.

 •

If you have very dry hair,  use a little oil (coconut, almond, etc.) Before  using a shampoo.

 •

If you have dull, dry hair don`t use conditionor. Any chemical action on the hair like this breaks down the chemical bonds of the hair cuticle and cortex. Permanent damage quickly sets in and your dull, dry hair will rapidly get worse.

 •

Hair coloring and Perming is very common now a days but remember it is a chemical and heat treatment, it can damage to the cuticle of the hairs and entire hair fiber.

 •

Don’t use poor quality rubber bands it may creat  tangle  and hairs may break off.

These remedies take time to show a visible change but are effective for some people. The best point concerning a home remedy is that you have many options and, if you think that a particular ingredient does not suit you, you can try an alternative. You should give each remedy at least a week before trying another.
